Cookbook "Thunapaha Nuwara Eliya Sri Lankan Curry"
●Our Official Recipe Book "Let's Make Sri Lankan Curry"●
The "Chef Looper's Cooking Class" series, which was serialized in our newsletter for many years,
has finally become a book!
Since it was written before smartphones existed,
it's a recipe book in a dialogue format (lol).
------------------------------------------------------------------------
●Created by a veteran Sri Lankan chef with 30 years of service,
with explanations by a Japanese employee.
Chef Looper, a Sri Lankan chef who has been with us since the company's founding, handles the cooking,
while the Japanese employee acting as commentator, "Manager-Inu," earnestly explains
so that it can be understood even in text. In a sense, it's expressed in an extremely casual way
that is easiest for Japanese people to understand,
conveying how to cut ingredients and cooking methods in a dialogue format.
●No technical terms or difficult spice knowledge.
Aimed at Sri Lankan cuisine that can be challenged in ordinary homes,
because it was a newsletter article written back when smartphones didn't exist,
the explanations of the spices used are also very relaxed.
Nothing difficult is written at all.
It's aimed at beginners and people who don't usually cook much,
and doesn't even use measuring spoons.
Most dishes can be completed in
45 minutes from cutting ingredients to finishing.
●Familiar ingredients like these become Sri Lankan curry!
In addition to chicken and pork, familiar ingredients that can be found almost anywhere in Japan
are made into curry, such as tofu, deep-fried tofu, and even leeks that you might wonder if they could be main ingredients
outside of hot pot dishes.
●Lots of columns and photos!
It also includes secret stories from the company's founding in 1988,
columns about the interior design by the architect president,
and travelogues from trips to Sri Lanka.
It's surprisingly engaging for a recipe book.
